Entry Requirements

Length of Course

The Emergency Pool Responder training typically takes two days to complete. With CTC Training, the course is run between 9:00-17:00 each day. This includes contact time with a tutor but excludes break times and changing times.

Content of Course

The EPR course covers a wide range of topics related to water safety, rescue techniques, and first aid. Key areas of the course include:

  1. Water safety and risk assessment
  2. Pool supervision and surveillance
  3. Rescue techniques for conscious and unconscious casualties

Emergency Pool Responder training can be conducted at your own venue (as long as you have a pool!) Ideally, the pool used is no more than 1.5m in depth.
