The Level 3 Teaching qualification we offer at CTC Training is the ideal foundation course for anyone looking to teach in the adult education and skills sector. You can take this course regardless of your skill level to start on the path towards your career goal and learn at a pace which suits you since it’s completely online-based learning.
The Level 3 AET has approximately 48 hours of study time and, including research and assessment time, takes approximately 120 hours to complete. You can choose how you wish to divide these hours. You may wish to complete the course in a matter of weeks or spread it over the entire twelve months.

PTLLS Online Training Course
This qualification was previously known as PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector). However, the PTLLS online training course is now known as the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (RQF) and can be followed up with levels 4 and 5 if you wish to extend your knowledge beyond this foundation level.

Level 3 AET Course Content
UNIT NO 1
Understanding the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training.
This introductory unit helps you to understand the introduction of teaching including health and safety, equal opportunities and the other professionals you may have to work with.
UNIT NO 2
Understanding and using inclusive learning and teaching approaches in education and training.
This unit helps you to understand how people learn, the ways in which people communicate and how to use a range of different teaching methods and resources to help you meet your learners’ individual needs.
UNIT NO 3
Understanding assessment in education and training.
This unit includes understanding the types and methods of assessment used in education and training, how to involve learners and others in the assessment process and the role and use of constructive feedback in the assessment process.
Who is The Level 3 Award in Education and Training Course for?
This qualification is designed to help you get a basic understanding of teaching and training roles within the adult education and skills sector. It’s a great springboard to more advanced qualifications that allow you to teach and train in the real world. The Level 3 AET is suitable for beginners with little or no prior experience in teaching and training.
