What qualifications do I need to open a beauty academy?
Level 3 Award in Education & Training (PTLLS)
To teach and assess in your beauty academy, you’ll need the Level 3 Award in Education & Training (PTLLS). This is an entry-level qualification that certifies you to teach and train others.
The course is comprised of three mandatory units:
- Understanding the Roles, Responsibilities and Relationships in Education and Training
- Understanding and using inclusive learning and teaching approaches in education and training
- Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
You must be at least 19 years old and have a good standard of written and spoken English to obtain this qualification.
