Our New level 3 Award in Education and Training Courses

If you’ve been thinking about taking our Level 3 Award in Education and Training, you may have noticed that where there was previously just the one version of the course, there are now two. So, what’s the difference between these two versions and why have we made the change?

Basically, one of the courses – the Level 3 Award in Education and Training with Assessment – has a more detailed version of the third unit, which covers assessment in education and training. The unit in this version is aimed at those looking to develop a career in assessing workplace achievement or delivering regulated qualifications and awards.

Unit 3 in the other version – the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTLLS) – is more general in its approach, in that it focuses on understanding the types and methods of assessment used and how to go about providing feedback during the process.  

So, while you’ll get the same qualification whichever version you take, the more detailed one will give you the specific skills you’ll need to progress successfully into assessing others.

Given that it doesn’t include this extra element within Unit 3 of the course, the Level 3 Award in Education and Training (PTLLS) has been priced slightly lower, at £199 as opposed to the £249 fee for the Level 3 Award in Education and Training with Assessment.

Why have we done this? Well, mainly because we saw an opportunity to tailor the course more specifically to the needs of those learners who don’t need these more detailed studies in order to successfully follow and advance in their career plans.
