There’s no stopping AI. it continues to affect various industries — and online learning is no exception.

While AI-generated content has the potential to revolutionise education, it also raises concerns about the quality and integrity of learning materials and the submission of work.

At CTC Training, we recognise the importance of striking a balance between harnessing the power of AI and maintaining the highest standards of education.

If you’re enrolled on a course or are thinking about enrolling, read on to learn our stance on AI-generated content.

AI & Online Learning

What is AI-generated content?

AI-generated content refers to text created by artificial intelligence. Examples of AI models include ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude.

While AI-generated content offers exciting possibilities, it also presents various issues for course providers.

Why is AI negative for the learning industry?

While AI can sometimes be a handy tool, using AI to complete coursework is not a genuine reflection of what you know or what you’ve learned. It doesn’t allow us to gauge your skill level and whether you actually understand the content in the course.

Our stance on AI

At CTC Training, we don’t condone the use of AI-generated content.

Firstly, we do not use AI-generated content in our course materials — our courses are designed and delivered by experienced instructors who bring their unique perspectives and expertise to the table.

Secondly, we strongly discourage our learners from submitting AI-generated work as part of their assignments or assessments. We believe that this is a form of academic dishonesty that undermines the learning process and the value of the qualifications earned through our platform.

Is there a place for AI in online learning?

While we are cautious about the use of AI-generated content in online learning, we recognise that AI has the potential to be used as a valuable tool. AI can explain complex concepts and help you understand particular elements of your course.

However, we recommend reaching out to your designated tutor for any problems you might be having on your course. Our tutors are always on hand to support you when you need it. It also helps us understand areas where you may need additional support.

Ultimately, while AI can be useful, it should always be used in conjunction with human expertise and judgement. It should never replace the human touch that we believe is essential for quality learning.

Looking to the future

It is likely that the impact of AI on online learning will continue to grow. At CTC Training, we are committed to staying ahead of the curve and ensuring that our courses remain relevant and engaging in the face of technological change.

We will continue to monitor developments in AI and assess their potential impact on our platform. We will also continue to invest in our instructors and course designers, ensuring that they have the skills to create high-quality learning experiences for everyone.

We’re proud to offer a wide range of courses, expertly led by esteemed instructors. Browse our courses and enrol today.
